The romantic comedy The Dangers in My Heart, known in Japan as Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, will return for a third anime season. The series' official website confirmed the new installment on Saturday, setting its premiere for 2027. Character designer Masato Katsumata released a special illustration to commemorate the announcement.
Shin-Ei Animation is back to produce the new season. The studio previously handled the 12-episode first season, which aired in Spring 2023, and the 13-episode second season, which concluded last Winter. Both seasons adapted the first eight volumes of Norio Sakurai's original manga.

This news follows the recent theatrical release of The Dangers in My Heart Movie, which opened in Japanese cinemas on February 13.
The story centers on middle schooler Kyoutarou Ichikawa, who initially harbors dark fantasies about his popular classmate, Anna Yamada. As they spend more time together in the library, Ichikawa's disturbing impulses evolve into genuine feelings and a protective instinct toward Yamada.
Sentai Filmworks licenses the series for North America. Both completed seasons are available for streaming on HIDIVE, offering both subtitled and dubbed options. While the 2027 window is confirmed, a more precise release date will be announced as production progresses.
