The official SHIBOYUGI social media account has released a new visual featuring protagonist Yuki, just as the anime heads into its final broadcast. The striking image gives fans a last look at the 17-year-old death game specialist in her signature composed stance, setting the stage for the series' intense conclusion.
SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table premiered on January 7, maintaining high tension throughout its run. The anime adapts the light novel series by Yushi Ukai, with illustrations from Nekometaru, published under MF Bunko J.
Viewers have followed Yuki through brutal scenarios, including the Ghost House traps with blowguns and buzzsaws, all while managing panicked rookies. Her motivation remains clear: survive these deadly games to earn a living.
Studio Deen handled animation duties. Chiyuki Miura voices Yuki. The story recently covered the difficult Golden Bath round, where Yuki faced Mishiro, voiced by Rio Tsuchiya. Other characters in this arc include Azuma, voiced by Haruka Oribe, and Rico, voiced by Sumire Morohoshi.

Earlier promotional materials had teased the prequel game, Scrap Building, showing Yuki in distinctive white gear alongside four other participants.
The anime's 9-episode run concludes this week. Crunchyroll is streaming the series, including same-day English dubs. Chiai Fujikawa performs the ending theme. For those following the source material, the light novels currently span nine volumes, complemented by a manga adaptation from Banzai Kotobuki Dai Enkai.
