The TV anime adaptation of Akira Konno's Kujima: Why Sing, When You Can Warble? is set to premiere on Thursday, April 9th, with a 12-episode run. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs. A new main promotional video recently dropped, offering fans a glimpse into the upcoming "bird(?) home comedy."
The story centers on first-year middle schooler Arata Kouda, whose quiet life is disrupted one autumn afternoon by Kujima, a strange, bird-like creature. Kujima decides the Kouda household is its new home, primarily for the Japanese food, causing chaos, especially for Arata's older brother, who is stressed with college entrance exams.
Yuria Kōzuki voices Kujima, while Ayumu Murase plays Arata Kouda. Additional cast members include Makoto Mitsuki and Hirofumi Nojima as Arata's dad, Masaomi, rounding out the family unit.

Noriyuki Nomata, known for directing Assassination Classroom and Carole & Tuesday, is helming the production at Studio Hibari. In Japan, the series will air on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS-TBS, and AT-X. U-NEXT and Anime Hōdai will handle domestic streaming.
Konno's original manga concluded its run in Shogakukan's Monthly Shonen Sunday in April 2024, finishing with five volumes.
